The Role:
As a Triton 3300/3 Submersible Pilot, you will have the unique privilege of piloting state-of-the-art submersibles to explore the most fascinating underwater environments on Earth. Your responsibilities will include:
- Safely piloting the Triton 3300/3 submersible for scientific research, exploration, filming, and tourism purposes.
- Collaborating with scientists, engineers, and other professionals to plan and execute dives.
- Conducting thorough pre-dive checks and ensuring the safety of all personnel and equipment.
- Operating the submersible's manipulator arm and other tools to collect data and specimens.
- Maintaining accurate dive logs and records.
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial submersible pilot's license with Triton 3300/3 type rating.
- Minimum of 500 hours of logged submersible dive time.
- Strong technical knowledge of submersible systems and operations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, marine science, or a related field.
- Experience in scientific research or exploration.
- Divemaster or scuba instructor certification.
